Kunal Sen is a writer, independent filmmaker and playwright.
- AS A FILMMAKER
An investment manager by profession, he has also acted in, written and directed films. The first of his films, “Cranberry Sauce”, a forty minute experimental absurdist thriller was screened at the IFFI (International Film Festival of India) venue in December, 2009, being nominated for the best short film.

- AS A WRITER
Kunal Sen has written award-winning short stories, flash-fiction, poetry and prose, at various online forums and communities, while being named consistently as one of the best writers therein. He also keeps a blog.

a) Klash of the Konfessioners- A flash-fiction blog that runs monthly writing contests, Klash is an ‘invite only’ group of writers and thinkers, the winners of the monthly contest are given the coveted ‘Purple Crown’ award.
b) Ah! Poetry- It is the biggest orkut poetry community with over 35000 followers, comprising mostly users of Indian nationality. At one point of time, in 2009-10 to be exact, this was ‘the’ place for upcoming poets and writers to mingle and compete.
c) Writer’s Circle- A recent entrant in the international website, ‘Writer’s Circle’, a modicum of Kunal’s condensed fiction pieces and poems.
d) Kunal Sen’s Blog- A haven for poetry and random thoughts and in existence for the last three years or so, the personal blog has loads of what you might term as, ‘rough drafts’ and is a great initiation into Kunal’s writing style and its genesis.
- AS A PLAYWRIGHT
He is the co-founder of the acclaimed theatre group ‘Prayaas’ and in his work as a dramatist, has written several original plays, including ‘Roshni Ke Devta’, along with many other adaptations.
